NEET SS 2024: NBEMS Revises Super Specialty Exam Pattern

The National Board of Examination Medical Science (NBEMS) has introduced two significant changes to the exam pattern for the National Eligibility Entrance Test—Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2024. In a notification dated October 11, the Board also released the tentative schedule for the NEET-SS 2024, which will take place on March 29 and 30.

The two changes in the exam pattern are as follows, while the rest of the examination scheme remains the same for all groups:

1.Medical Oncology Group: For admissions to DM/DrNB Medical Oncology, there will be a separate question paper group focusing solely on medical oncology topics.
   
2.Critical Care Medicine Group: For admissions to DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine, a separate question paper group will cover critical care medicine topics exclusively.

The notification also emphasized that the eligible feeder qualifications for DM/MCh/DrNB courses will adhere to the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023, as well as any future clarifications or amendments issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Candidates are encouraged to regularly visit the NBEMS website,for the final exam schedule, eligibility criteria, fee structure, and any further updates or changes to the examination scheme.

The NEET SS exam is the only valid entrance test for admissions into DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Speciality courses, in accordance with Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019. No other state-level or institutional exams will be accepted for these admissions.
