Notification:
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) in Kerala has begun accepting applications from candidates who have qualified for the NEET PG 2024 exam and are seeking admission to PG medical programs.
This applies to State Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges, the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) in Thiruvananthapuram, and all seats, including Minority Quota and NRI Quota, in Private Self-Financing Medical Colleges across Kerala.
According to the official notification, candidates can apply online through the CEE website until 4:00 PM on October 7, 2024. Along with the application, candidates are required to pay the application fee and upload all necessary documents and certificates to support their claims. Incomplete or defective applications will be rejected, and claims lacking proper documentation will not be considered.
Application Fee:
General and Service Quota Candidates: Rs. 1000/-
SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits: Rs. 500/-
Service Quota Candidates applying for general seats: Rs. 1000/- (additional)
The application fee is non-refundable.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized by the NMC (MCI). They must have completed their MBBS qualification, registered with the NMC (MCI) or the State Medical Council, and completed a one-year internship by August 15, 2024. Admission will only be granted after obtaining registration with the Travancore Cochin Medical Council or Kerala State Medical Council.
Qualifying Criteria:
To be eligible for PG medical admissions in Kerala for the academic year 2024-25, candidates must qualify for the NEET PG 2024 exam. The minimum required percentile is as follows:
1. General/EWS: 50th Percentile
2. SC/ST/SEBC (including PwD of SC/ST/SEBC): 40th Percentile
3. UR PwD/EWS-PwD: 45th percentile
Mode of Selection:
The selection process will be based on the rank list prepared by the CEE, Kerala, using NEET PG 2024 scores. A common counseling session will be held by the CEE to allocate all PG Medical Degree seats, including Minority and NRI Quota seats in self-financing medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25.
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will handle the selection and seat allotment process, including Service Quota seats, through a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). This process has been approved by the Government of Kerala.
