NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has made the IIT JAM 2024 Answer Key and Question Paper available today, February 20. Candidates who appeared for the Joint Admission Test for Masters 2024 can now access the provisional answer keys and question papers for various subjects including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Geology (GG), and Physics (PH).
The IIT JAM 2024 examination took place on February 11, 2024 (Sunday) in two shifts. The forenoon session was designated for CY, GG, and MA, while the afternoon session was allocated for BT, EN, MS, and PH.
Candidates can follow the simple steps below to download the IIT JAM 2024 Answer Key:
- Step 1: Visit the official website at jam.iitm.ac.in
- Step 2: On the homepage, locate and click on the link titled "JAM 2024 Master Question Papers and Answer Keys Now Available."
- Step 3: A new webpage will open, providing links for each test paper. Select the relevant link.
- Step 4: A PDF document will open displaying the questions and corresponding answers in the provisional key.
- Step 5: Review the answers, download the document, and print it for future reference.

Candidates who find discrepancies in the provisional answer key may submit objections through the website from February 26 to February 28, 2024. The objections will be reviewed by experts, and if valid, necessary corrections will be made, leading to the issuance of the final answer key.
The IIT JAM Result 2024 is scheduled to be declared on March 22. Previously, the institute released response sheets for various programs including MSc, MSc Tech, MS Research, MSc-MTech dual degree, Joint MSc - PhD, and MSc - PhD Dual Degree.
As per the marking scheme, negative marking applies to MCQs, where 1/3rd and 2/3 marks are deducted for incorrect responses to 1 mark and 2 mark questions, respectively. However, there is no negative marking for MSQs and NAT sections.
