NEET UG 2024 Counselling Schedule Released: Key Dates and Steps to Follow.

The MCC is planning to begin the counselling for NEET UG 2024 from August 14, whereas, the registration process will begin in the first week of August. The specific counselling schedule can be found on the MCC official website: mcc. nic. in.

Hopefuls who passed NEET UG 2024 can seek admission and they begin with counselling and the provisional seat matrix confirmation from August 14 to August 15. Learners have until August 14 to August 20 (12 noon) to do the registration and payment must be made on or before 3 pm on August 20.

They stated the choice filling and the choice locking that is to be done by the registrar will be from 16/08/2013 to 20/08/2013 upto 11:55PM, while the choice locking option will be from 4PM to 11:55PM on 20/08/2013 only. The procedure of seat allotment is August 21, 2013- August 22 2013 while the result is on August 23 2013.Students holding those seats also have to agree and enroll in the institution provided from August 24 to August 29. Institutions providing data for the joined candidates will check the data and the information will be disseminated on MCC’s website on August 30 & 31.

The round 2 counselling will commence on 4 September. The mode of counselling that is followed for NEET UG is online and it consists of three phases and one online stray vacancy round. This counselling involves admission to 15% All India Quota, 85% state quota, deemed and central universities, private college, AFMS/ESIC institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
However, the NMens largely want the Supreme Court to revisit this matter even if they have cancellation requests, and on July 23, the Supreme Court declared that NEET 2024 would not be reconducted and directed the NTA to publish new outcomes after restoring the correct answer to Q19 of Physics. General category cut-off score have been lowered from 720-164 to 720-162. The cut-off also varies with the new marks that are 161-127 for SC, ST, and OBC, and 143-127 for SC, ST, and OBC-PH. The percentile of cut off for NEET is 50 percentile for the general carried category and 40 percentile for other backward class, scheduled caste and scheduled tribe. The NTA decides these percentiles out of the top scores in the all-India common merit list.

A national level undergraduate entrance examination i.e NEET UG was conducted on 5 th May and the results of which were released on 4 th June, ten days ahead of time. Lastly, the centre and city-wise NEET 2024 results were declared on July 20, by the NTA, While the results showed the roll number, candidate name or even the photograph, the identity was concealed. Wherein the question paper of 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology were set and out of the 180 questions each aspirant had to attempt. Participation earned 4 marks in each correct answer and deduction of one mark in each wrong answer. Questions with no answer got no mark or score.
