Notification:
NMC recently issued an announcement setting February 21st 2024 as the deadline for submission of admission data for superspecialty courses.
Postgraduate Medical Education Board of the Commission announced that its online portal for filling up details shall remain available from 17th - 21st February 2024. NMC set its deadline after considering that, according to Schedule for Special Round All India Counselling for NEET Super Speciality Courses, Super-speciality students were told they must report by 17.02.2024.
Referring to this, the NMC PG Board issued a notice on 16th February which stated, "According to the schedule published by Medical Counselling Committee regarding Special Round of All India Counselling for NEET Super Specialty Courses Allotment Process for Super Specialty Courses students need to report by 17.02.2024. Accordingly, all Medical Colleges/ Institutes under the Commission in India are informed that an online portal for collecting candidate details who enrolled for Super Specialty Courses shall open from 17 th to 21st February 2024," as outlined.
Apex Medical Commission strongly advised colleges to submit all the data in an allotted timeframe, adding "No physical/manual data will be accepted under any circumstance. NMC stated, "the onus for providing accurate and authentic information lies with each college concerned; should any incorrect or falsified data be submitted then NMC reserves its rights under law to take appropriate actions against such colleges,".
"Should any issues arise with accessing NMC website, an email can be sent directly to xxx and within two working days the Commission office shall respond," according to its notice.
Reported earlier that, earlier this year, the National Medical Council's Postgraduate Board asked medical institutes to submit NEET-SS admission information from 5-10 January 2024. However, earlier this month the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) issued notice regarding its intention to conduct a special round for unfilled DM/M.Ch and DNB SS seats within All India Quota (AIQ). Thereafter another notice allowed candidates allocated from INI-SS to submit their resignations and submit them directly.
MCC informed all eligible NEET SS 2023 candidates of its plans for holding a special round to fill vacant DNB/ MCH/ DM seats remaining after Round 2 of Counseling 2023 from AIQ Counselor. This action would serve to reduce wastage of current medical seats.
